"WWE Raw" has been moved from Ch 12-DT (11:10 pm on Monday) to XHBJ 45 (8pm). Although it would have been nicer to move it to a HD station, XHBJ's signal is pretty strong so pq isn't real bad. And the change to an earlier time is better. Sometimes XHBJ transmitts English on SAP, but it had nothing last night. Wonder when XHBJ will start transmitting a digital signal.

So did they just start transmitting today? I scanned yesterday and it wasn't picked up. Was thinking that my antenna reconfiguration is allowing me reception - but maybe they just turned up the transmitter!

I don't know, Andy.
I searched all the channels (including all the "future" ones, that appear in Wikipedia) the night before last night, and I didn't get it. They probably started today.

Their myspace says digital is on CH. 47. So they must have finalized their HD channel. Maybe after 2.17.09. Once they go Digital, they will be able to broadcast HD.

Is the digital channel (XHAS-DT, 33-1,34) out?

From the mytv13.com site:

"Hello and thanks for tuning in to MyTV13, in San Diego.
I have just spoken to our head Engineer regarding the DTV Conversion. We are currently not digital. The reason for this is that we are waiting for approval from the Mexican Government. (This is necessary as we are licensed in Mexico.)
While there is no definite date, we hope to be up and running digitally soon. Our digital channel will be 33-2."

I have problems to get XHAS-DT 34 too. I though it was a reception problem in my TV, but I guess is out. It's nice to know about XHDTV-DT. Thanks Jo!

My Hopes aren't high. I hope they can get a proper HD channel with no subchannels.

I hope they lower XHAS-DT's bitrate so they can cram in XHDTV-TD/DT in HD. They promised that it would be in HD. Though there is a CBS station in Ohio with CBS and Fox in HD as subchannels. To top it off they added a SD MNTV subchannel.

I tried to get XHAS-DT with no luck, it doesn´t lock up the signal, that was on last Friday, today i passed near mt. San Antonio and looked in their transmission tower and i saw only 2 elements located at the middle height of their tower and are pointed into the northwest and northeast (one each). I think i know why i don´t get a straight signal, since i live on the south side of Mt. San Antonio, but i have a direct line of sight to that mount with my rooftop UHF antenna.

I believe that they´re testing it´s digital outlet for the moment, i hope that in the near future they´ll improve their coverage area on both sides of the border.

I received this station all day and night on Saturday, But I lost it after Sunday. I don't know if the digital transmitter is off line. I can even get some hits on XHTIT-DT D29, but no signal on D34.

I don't get XHAS-DT in Clairemont. Clearly it doesn't come close to replicating the analog channel's footprint. I'm really not a fan of Entravision. The fact that they run competing Spanish stations has hurt the San Diego Spanish market... This article mentions that a few O&E stations will broadcast the 2009 Billboard Latin Music Awards on April 23 in HD. It will probably take years before XHAS will go HD. At least while they still are managed by Entravision.
