Hi All, Good thing I stumble onto this site. But this is just too much info that I am have hard time to digest so I am taking the short cut to see if anyone could help. We just moved into our rental in Serra Mesa and want to get an antenna or two antennas and a HD conversion box for our TV. Our TV is over 5 years old so it's only HD ready. We would prefer the antenna(s) outdoor/indoor type (just in case that our landlord would not allow to put an antenna outside.) I have attached the tvfool report. We would like to receive as much local English channels as possible (KPBS is a must.) If we could get some LA channel, that would be great. But I doubt it. Our budget is $150. Would you recommend the Antennas Direct DB2 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna offered on Amazon or one of the WINEGARD HDTV 2-BAY UHF DIGITAL ANTENNA that I think is on sale at fry's. Also what is good HD conversion box that provide the best picture quality? Thanks for all your help.

Try the antenna down at Frys first, you can easily return it within 30 days or so and can get verify if it works in your area, that would be the cheapest solution with the sale price. I'd recommend a newer LG model HD tuner, they have some of the best chipsets. Check on EBAY for some good deals. |

The Antennas Direct DB2, DB4 are inferior to the Channel Master bowtie antennas. |
