Tonight I was doing a scanning of the airwaves and I noticed a 63.x digital channel group. I tuned around on the subchannels until I hit 63.4 where I hit a test pattern with KBEH's call letters on it. I did a check on the actual channel and it says "24". I'm just wondering if KBEH has installed a local translator station or else it's one wild reception of an Oxnard/Ventura digital TV signal. Anyone else experience this in San Diego county? |

Sure. Do a search for KBEH on this forum and you will find a few references, such as (http://hdtv.forsandiego.com/messages/1/7829.html). |

I just posted something related to KBEH. Although I can't pull in this signal now. Only lasted a couple of days at my current antenna position. My understanding is that the signal comes from atop Mt Wilson, not actually somewhere in Oxnard/Ventura. |

63.1,.2,.3, .4 (test pattern on .4) solid now here. I checked on my TiVo signal strength meter and they were 90-95. That compares to KCET at 75-80. (Message edited by Micawber on February 01, 2010) 99.5% Dark Matter

KCET (ERP:220 KW) is co-channel with XHJK-DT 28. You're probably never going to get anything higher on the meter. KBEH reception is not that unusual. I live on the bottom floor of an apartment building in Clairemont and have seen it in the past. |

Yes, KCET's signal has been poor since the frequency changeover. Very unfortunate. I have been watching it regularly for the last 15 years from this location. Along with KVCR, KOCE, and KLCS. (All OK still.) 99.5% Dark Matter

KCET-DT, KOCE-DT, and KLCS-DT suffer from severe cochannel interference for me. KCET may yet increase their signal power, so perhaps their is hope. |

You are further North than I am and don't suffer from the LP stations on Mt. Woodson. |
