Hooked up the TIVO HD and found many clear QAM channels. I made an Excel spreadsheet for others in TWC NC that want to see what's out there.
I couldn't decide what to label the HD/SD Column, I mean digital might be better, but then isn't QAM always digital  So although not technically correct I think you know what I was getting at. As for the movie channels, they could be HBO, or Cinnemax, or PPV, I couldn't tell, but they had some recent movies on at the time. There were baseball games on MLB EI and hockey on NHL Center Ice, I assume those would change depending on which sports packages are out, like College Game Day in Fall.
So this list is current as of today, TWC could remap the QAMs whenever they want. .
Feel free to update this thread with your scans as the months go by or if you figure out what the mystery movie channels are.

Strange....the file download was labeled as a *.unk type file.
I had to change it to *.xls type to view contents.... |

unknown movie channels are probably VOD. they are in the clear in Vista on Cox. |

Try your scan now, or at least have a look at some of the odd channels--for example, MTV at 112-3 shows no signal here. TWC seems to tighten the bolts on this stuff a little every week.
When MOJO-HD first came on, it was in the clear for about a month, which was nice. But no more.
112-x thru 115-x are VOD channels, and so content shows up on them randomly.
The only "interesting" content I get in the clear are the 6 broadcast stations, except that I can't get kpbs on my MyHD tuner card--for some reason, it can't find it, at 119-3 (I think), while both TVs with QAM tuners find it with no problem. And I used to tune it in without problem until this week. Grrr...
Anyone else in TWC Carlsbad with a MyHD tuner who can get KPBS-HD off cable? If so...what's your secret?

Solved. Apparently, the MyHD won't scan for subchannels above a "dead" subchannel, which 119-2 became. I manually edited the channels list file that MyHD uses and added 119-4, and voila, I've got KPBS back (and KSWB is on 119-3, I now realize--and I've got that squared away as well).

What are current clear QAM channels in North TWC-SD?
Channel numbers or freq before they are mapped to 5-1, 6-1, etc.... |
